“MOTT’S TOO SMALL! STADIUMS WILL BE FILLED!”

In 2018, during a special season of fasting and prayer in Mott Auditorium, our students — myself included — began receiving recurring dreams, sometimes weekly, of stadiums being filled and of a mighty outpouring of the Spirit coming to California. This continued so strongly that in 2019, our entire school went on a prayer tour. In faith, we visited 10 different stadiums, anointing them and prophesying that they would be filled — that a mass harvest would come, unlike anything we had ever seen before, marked by signs, wonders, and miracles.

But these prayers did not begin with us. Long before I was praying, my spiritual fathers were.

Years ago, in Mott Auditorium, Lou Engle received a word that would help shape our community. During that season, an outpouring was taking place, and two young girls were caught up in a powerful heavenly encounter. They cried out, “Mott is too small! Stadiums will be filled! I see Vince Lombardi in heaven!” Lou asked them, “Do you know who Vince Lombardi is?” They replied, “No, we’ve never heard of him — but he has a football helmet on in heaven!”

Vince Lombardi, of course, was the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers, who won the first two Super Bowls in the 1960s — and whose name the Super Bowl trophy still bears today. The meaning is clear: a move of God with the scale and cultural impact of Lombardi’s historic run is coming to the Church. It cannot be contained inside buildings; it will cross secular lines and catalyze national revival.

Stadiums represent high places in a culture — spaces where people gather in mass to give their attention, affection, and allegiance. They are modern-day altars, shaping identity, values, and collective memory. What happens in stadiums reaches far beyond the event itself; it carries cultural weight, influences cities, and marks generations. When worship, prayer, and the proclamation of the gospel take place in these spaces, it signals a reclaiming of influence — a declaration that what once hosted entertainment and spectacle can become a place of encounter, consecration, and transformation at scale.

Paul Cain spoke of the same dream. In the 1990s he received multiple visions of football stadiums filled with signs, wonders, miracles, and even the raising of the dead. He saw that the media would cover the mass gatherings of those days saying, “No bad news tonight - only good news!” He recounts that it seemed as if all the world was ablaze with revival.

William Seymour’s prophecy — of an outpouring far greater than Azusa Street coming to our land — continues to fill us with expectation.

Now, on the 120-year anniversary of that revival and the 10-year anniversary of TheCall’s Azusa Now gathering, we find ourselves in a true Kairos moment — what I believe is a divine grace period to contend for awakening. This is a launching pad into a new chapter in America. As the return of the Lord approaches, there must be a great push for a mass harvest.
